Cryptile
Cryptile is a roguelite game mixed with tilesliding mechanics. It's a game I'm currently working on and it's far from being finished. Feel free to give this early alpha version a try and let me know if you like it or if you have any feedback!
The WebGL Version seems to work fine with one caveat. The input UI doesn't update in regards of the current input device. This works for the Windows build.
The game is best played with a controller. If you want to play with a keyboard the controls are the following:
Move Character: WASD
Move Tiles: Arrow Keys
Melee Attack: Space
Range Attack: F
Dash: Left Shift

I really liked this! Great concept and fun to play, only found a small bug that one of the skeletons got stuck inside walls but i was able to hit it. With more content, i would like to play more! Keep up the good work!!
Very fun idea, heres few thoughts or "me's" as i like to call them.
I couldn’t find any instructions on key binds, (wasd, select, move tiles). Those could be implemented as destructible statues at the 1st floor.
I found that enemies are getting stuck on tile/cage edges.
For me the most rewarding part of the game was solving the "emblems", with was never actually rewarded by the game.
I found it the easiest to just stand on the desired platform and traverse the dungeon in that manner, id love to see some static elements fore some extra challange.
I often lost the character, especially at the beginning of the floor. Maybe quick animation could fix that.
On the note of character i was often hit while searching for my hero, maybe challenge could start with first move of character.
Id love to see local multiplayer implemented.
Hope you can use the idea dump, i will be interested in purchasing steam release if concept was pushed further.
This game barely works. I mean at second floor the obstacles started to be undestroyable, then it just continued. Also when I stop moving the character turned to a random direction so I did not sucseed into hitting where I wanted. The game is pretty laggy. And it is almost lame that you used a game engine to make this game. It is definatiously beareble and almost fun. Idea is the best part. It could be better if you add different ways for tiles to generate rather than just 3x3.
Obstacles beeing undestroyable is a bug - never happened to me and you're the first person that reports it. I'll see if I can fix it for the next version.
Besides that it is a super early alpha version and far from beeing feature or content complete. Thanks for the feedback!
You are welcome boy. It is a really good start. And by “Also when I stop moving the character turned to a random direction so I did not sucseed into hitting where I wanted.” with this I meant for the whole game whenever I stop moving the oriention ends up somewhere random.
great idea! good youtube video!
some suggestions:
when entering a new level, it should be easier to find your character. maybe a short animation would help. it would also be nice if enemies could not spawn on the same tile you spawn on or if they had some small cooldown before being able to move.
it might be cool to have some special item or chest that spawns in every level, that disappears after a certain number of floor movements, so you have to really think about what moves you make.
exploding barrels would also be cool.
very cool game though, would love to see it being developed a bit further in the future!
Thank you! I try to fix this for the next version :)
Nice project! I love the concept. The one thing that bothers me is that I spend too much time trying to figure out where my character is when a new room is generated. If the character spawned always at the same location (central tile, for example), or if there was some sort of obvious indicator, like a red arrow pointing to the character, it would be of great help.
Hello. Interesting prototype. I think the game is currently missing a couple of things to make it more enjoyable. Game miss frames of invulnerability after taking damage by the character. Also, after generating a level at the start of a new floor, enemies can instantly start attacking you, it would be very nice to give the player the opportunity to inspect the level before the enemies begin to act. In general, an interesting concept may come out of this.
